GOER SCHOOL MEIYUAN CAMPUS

This is a toy tray presented to the children by Goertek Group. As a key strategic initiative in Goertek's educational portfolio, this school bears the mission of nurturing future innovative technological talent. We have translated the abstract concept of “gazing at the stars” into tangible architectural language, meticulously crafting the campus environment to stimulate each pupil's curiosity, imagination, creativity and playfulness. Together, we have built a nurturing playground where dreams take root and flourish.

The Future Learning Centre, suspended mid-air, creates an unprecedented school image, becoming a cultural landmark from the future. It centrally houses public teaching facilities including a gymnasium, swimming pool, grand theatre, black box theatre, library, and dining hall. Simultaneously serving as the school's Science Laboratory Centre, Engineering and Technology Centre, Visual Arts Centre, Performing Arts Centre, and Humanities Centre, it forms a diverse learning environment spanning ages and disciplines. The spaces of each faculty are highly interconnected and shared, significantly enhancing facility utilisation rates. Core facilities extend both upwards and downwards, fostering the organic integration of future-oriented and traditional learning models. The upward extension of the roof houses the grand theatre and swimming pool, featuring a distinctive volcanic form that not only serves as an architectural highlight but also embodies the concept of ‘gazing at the stars’.

The building's high-density design maximises outdoor space, providing children with diverse and multi-dimensional activity areas. Facilities include a multi-purpose sports field, a mini-track suitable for younger children, a skateboard park, a streetball court, and ample ball game areas. The outdoor courtyards and botanical gardens for primary and secondary schools are naturally integrated within the Future Learning Centre, allowing students convenient access to nature. The orientation of the outdoor courtyard openings aligns with Langfang's prevailing summer winds, facilitating ventilation and cooling during the warmer months, while also serving as access points for fire engine lanes.

The rooftop activity platform is a paradise for children. Here, one finds a large slide leading directly to the outdoor courtyard, a challenging rock-climbing area, an entertaining leisure track, a relaxing open-air cinema, and a central service kiosk for brief respite. Alongside these dynamic facilities are tranquil zones such as outdoor reading corners, a graffiti area, and a rooftop botanical garden. Low-poly animal sculptures wander among these spaces, creating a whimsical, futuristic world brimming with childlike delight.
